The Communications & Community Engagement Committee ("the Committee") exists to ensure that the Alameda County Public Health Commission (ACPHC) is visible, accessible, and connected to the communities it serves.

In alignment with the ACPHC's purpose to “act as an advocate for the prevention of disease and the promotion of good health,” and to "provide opportunities for the exchange of information between the members of the community and the Alameda County Public Health Department and serve as a conduit of information for the constituency each member represents,” the Committee coordinates the Commission's outreach presence, digital communications, and public-facing materials.

The Committee shall be a standing committee as defined in the ACPHC By-Laws.
