The purpose of the HEiAP committee of the Alameda County Public Health Commission is to draft a HEiAP resolution, recommend implementation priorities, and support the adoption and subsequent implementation of this resolution by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors.

​

Health Equity in All Policies (HEiAP) is a committee of the Public Health Commission focusing on a broad array of local, state, and federal policies and practices that impact public health. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, environmental health, criminal justice reform, and reviews of local resolutions and recommendations. HEiAP produces a Voter Guide with a health equity perspective. Voting members are Public Health Commissioners, however community members are also encouraged to attend and participate in HEiAP monthly meetings.

The Alameda County Public Health Commission (ACPHC) is an advisory committee tasked with reviewing health needs, providing policy recommendations, and building community capacity as related to public health priorities.

AUTHORITY

Established June 19, 1979 by resolution number 183410, as the Public Health Advisory Committee. The name was change by amendment of their Bylaws on July 1, 2008 and September 27, 2016.
