The Communications and Community Outreach subcommittee meets on the third Thursday of the month from 6:00-7:00pm with virtual options for attendance.

The Communications Committee supports the overall mission of the Public Health Commission. It provides information on matters concerning public health to the community through the Commission website, social media postings, press releases, and public meetings. It assists the Commission in its advocacy for adequate resources for public health. It also transmits information and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors about resources and actions to improve community health.

AUTHORITY

Established June 19, 1979 by resolution number 183410, as the Public Health Advisory Committee. The name was change by amendment of their Bylaws on July 1, 2008 and September 27, 2016.
